Data Analyst

Position Summary

The Data Entry Analyst role is an entry-level staff position.  This job provides support and data analysis on confidential financial litigation matters.  Responsibilities include data input, data analysis, data validation, document management and control, and preparation of financial schedules.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for inputting data into standardized electronic format
  • Ensuring accuracy of relevant data and financial schedules
  • Organize information into databases and spreadsheets following Bates protocol
  • Create, maintain, and archive case materials, documents, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Audit written information and numerical information documents, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Adheres to firm administrative policies, professional conduct and practices
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Competencies

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 – 2 years relevant work experience
  • Intermediate experience using MS Office Suite and database management applications
  • Strong data entry skill and high attention to detail
  • Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize tasks that may have short-term deadlines
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret basic graphs with numerical information
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions received from several sources
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and as part of a team and interact with all levels of staff and management
