Elizabeth “Lili” Hussey is an Affiliate Consultant with Bates Group who works with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 in financial services, media, and e-commerce. Such broad experience has given her a diverse set of skills that enable her to work fluidly across business lines and functions while at the same time gaining insight into the unique perspectives and challenges that senior managers and front-line employees face. Throughout her career at BNP Paribas and as an independent consultant, Lili effectively implemented changes in areas ranging from merchant banking and information technology to operations and regulatory reporting. A personal highlight during that time was selection by senior management to lead various corporate sustainability initiatives as a founding member of the North American Diversity Council that created an award-winning framework for our Employee Resource Groups, and structuring policies supporting the U.S. philanthropic initiatives.
Community service has always been an important part of Lili’s life, and she is proud to serve on the board of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, where members have been working to promote equity within the organization and the community arts education field. As Chair of its Investment Committee, she has also been working toward integrating an ESG approach to their investment portfolio. Following the 9/11 World Trade Center Attacks, Lili volunteered with small businesses as part of the economic recovery efforts in downtown New York City. She is currently mentoring through MIT SOLVE!, which is an organization that supports transformational change by connecting social entrepreneurs with technology and financial resources.
Always passionate about learning, Lili has a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College as well as a Master of Business Administration from Questrom Business School at Boston University. She has received a graduate certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Harvard University, Extension Studies and is currently pursuing a Masters in Sustainability (2022).
