Empress Smith is a state licensing consultant with Bates Group’s MSB, FinTech and Virtual Assets practice. A dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in the ARM, Mortgage, and Financial Services industry, Ms. Smith assists Bates clients with state licensing acquisition, renewal, and maintenance, including Money Transmitter and Digital Currency licenses. She has a demonstrated mastery of the Nationwide Multi-State Licensing System (NMLS) and a history of spearheading successful state licensing projects.
Ms. Smith comes from a legal background and has held positions at JP Morgan Chase and an esteemed law firm in Atlanta, GA. She applies her strategic planning skills to design comprehensive solutions for a variety of businesses, making her an invaluable asset to any financial services company.
