Dr. Shane Shook is an Independent and Affiliate Consulting and Testifying Expert with Bates Group of Lake Oswego, Oregon, working out of Santa Cruz, CA. Dr. Shook provides critical analysis and reporting, including testimony, in cases involving information management and governance, and business technology issues for several industries, particularly including financial services, health care and information technology.
Since 1986, his work has included testimony in high profile cases or projects involving securities and financial fraud, transfer pricing for software and hardware and related operations, source code licensing and intellectual property protection (or theft), competitive market/operational strategies of industry-use technology, patent research and review, outsource IT advisory negotiation and dispute analysis, and data security/privacy (including intrusion/extrusion and identity theft).
He also has substantial experience in litigation consulting (preparedness and response) with companies and law firms.
